I started Belly dancing in 1994 whilst I was studing for my Marketing Diploma, it was a great way to wind down!

Since 2004 I have traveled to Egypt to train with Egyptian and Egypt based teachers including Yasmina of Cairo, Dandash, Aida Nour, Raqia Hassan, Dina, Leila, Kazafy, Tito and Randa.

I became very good at belly dance and started dancing professionally in 2004.   In 2006 I won the UK’s first national belly dance competition.

My favourite job is dancing at weddings or anywhere where there is a real social mix of people to dance for.  My unique quality being my people skills. My dance performances are stylish, fun and suitable for all dispositions and ages.  I am extremely good at getting people to join me to dance and it's always tastefully done.  I have done this type of work for 10 years and before that my work in the Media, Marketing and PR has given me a good understanding of client care.

In addition to cabaret work, I have toured the UK with Arab dance theatre companies, including that of Caroline Afifi, The Arabian Dance Theatre and the Arab Quarter. I have produced my own theatre shows and continue to strive for this. My last theatre show was working alongside the Bellydance Superstars.

I have worked with bands and musicians in the UK and in Egypt I love spontanuity.

As an award winning dancer myself, I have subsequently trained award winning dancers, both soloists and troupes. I particularly enjoy personal mentoring. I have taught at some of the UK's biggest dance festivals and regularly teach workshops in the UK.

I am accomplished in various styles of Egyptian Folk, Street and oriental dance and I play sagat and tabla. The culture of music and dance in Egypt are the main focus in my work and I always aim for the highest standards and pride myself on my professionalism.

I believe this dance should be shown as a feminine, proud and elegant artform.
